Each dog you enter into the system is required to have some form of registration number.
A single dog file does not support multiple registration numbers. If you have more than one registration number for your dog, you must create an additional dog file with DogShow.ca.
Types of Registration Numbers
There are different types of registration numbers. Make sure you select the correct registration type from the Registration Type drop down box before entering the number into the Registration Number field.
Please note the following legend when looking at example registration numbers:
“Z” represents any letter between A and Z.
“9” indicates that there can be any number between 0 and 9.
Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)
CKC Registration numbers have different formats based on the registration type as well as when the number was issued.
For CKC events, if you don’t have a registration number yet, you can obtain a Temporary Competitor Number (TCN) from the Canadian Kennel Club.
CKC Registered Number
The “CK-“ prefix is required for submission of results to CKC, so we’ll automatically add that prefix if you omit it. You can find more information on why we add the CK- prefix to your registration number here.

Barn Hunt Association (BHA)
You are required to have a registration number issued by the Barn Hunt Association in order to enter any BHA events.
